ORLAND – Beatrice L. Silva, 78, died Friday, Sept. 3, 2010, at a Bangor hospital. She was born April 2, 1932, in Brewer, the daughter of William and Elsie (Cushing) McAllian. Family was very important to Beatrice; she cherished her time spent with her sons, their wives, grandchildren and great-granddaughter. She is survived by and will be sadly missed by the second love of her life, Patrick Bouchard of Orland, who made her very happy for the last three years of her life; three special sons, David Silva and his wife, Roberta, of Bucksport, Robert Silva and his wife, Mary, of Kentucky and Steven Silva and his wife, Lisa, of Winterport; six very special grandchildren, Denise Hodgkins and husband, Troy, Christopher Silva and his wife, Ashley, Megan Silva, Jessica Silva, Morgan Silva and fiance, Nicholas Hotham, and Brittany Silva; one very special great-granddaughter, Cadence Silva; seven brothers and sisters, many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Beatrice was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Anthony “Tony” Silva, in 2001; and five brothers and sisters. Family and friends will gather for visitation 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 8, at Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home, 28 Elm St., Bucksport. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 9, at Hillside Cemetery, East Bucksport, with Pastor Peter Remick officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather at Franklin Street United Methodist Church for a reception after the graveside service.
