SOMERSVILLE, Conn. and ENFIELD, Conn. – Teresa L. (Mooers) Mortensen, 45, passed away Sunday, Sept. 12, 2010, after a brief illness. She was born June 19, 1965, in Dexter, daughter of Harry and Ruby (Suitter) Mooers of Newport. Teresa is survived by a son, Niels Mortensen of Middletown, Conn.; a daughter, Heather Mortensen of New Haven, Conn.; two brothers, Harold Mooers of Newport and Larry Mooers of Hartford, Conn.; her paternal grandmother, Edith Bowen of Hartland; three special aunts, Marion Johnson and her husband, Bertrand, Eleanor Henderson of Corrina and Rosemary Oakes and her husband, Ray, of Stafford Springs, Conn.; a special uncle, Willis Mooers of Harmony; a nephew, Anthony Mooers; many aunts, uncles and cousins. Teresa was predeceased by her longtime boyfriend, Steven Cushman.
