BLAINE – Doris I. Terrell, 89, went to be with her Lord Sept. 15, 2010, at Aroostook Health Center, Mars Hill. She was born Dec. 4, 1920, in Blaine, daughter of Lyle and Annie (VanTassle) Beals. She worked at a factory in Worcester, Mass., during the war, making electrical components for airplanes. She also worked at Aroostook Shoe and The Aroostook Medical Center, Presque Isle. Doris was the church organist for 56 years at Free Baptist Church, Blaine, and member of Happy Hour Club. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and quilting. She made lap quilts for patients at the nursing home. She is survived by two sons, Dennis Dyer of Lillian, Ala., and Kirk Terrell and his wife, Sue, of Blaine; a daughter, Sharon Dyer Dagnello and her husband, Angelo, of Worcester, Mass.; a stepson, Ralph Terrell of Colorado; stepdaughter, Vicki Crawford of Texas; two sisters, Juanita Rideout of Mars Hill and Mildred Bradstreet of Brunswick; 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Harry Terrell; a daughter, Deanna Dyer Tyler; a grandson, Alden Prosser; three siblings, Eugene, Otis and Phyllis Beals; and a stepson, Guy Terrell. Relatives and friends may call 6-8 p.m. Friday at Duncan Funeral Home, 8 Main St., Mars Hill. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at Free Baptist Church, Blaine, with Pastor Gardner Smith and Pastor Lawrence Beals officiating. Interment will be at Tapley Cemetery, Blaine.
