OLD TOWN and INDIAN ISLAND – Christine Love Doucette, 76, passed away Sept. 20, 2010, surrounded by her family at her home. She was born Feb. 7, 1934, in Old Town, a daughter of Emily Mitchell Love. Christine loved her family. She loved to go dancing and trips to the coast. She really enjoyed cooking for the family and having every one together for the holidays. She worked as a certified nurse’s aide for years in the Bangor area at Westgate Manor and also worked as a home health nurse. She was predeceased by her husband, Clarence Doucette, in 1978; and six older siblings: sisters, Theresa Guimond, Edna Becker, Ann Breau and Inez Francis, and brothers, Peter “B” Neptune and John Love. She is survived by a longtime companion, Raymond Moniz; son, Thomas Dunn and his significant other, Sandra Lonko Lyons; son, Cliff Doucette and his wife, Belinda; daughter, Theresa White and her husband, Jeff; son, Mark Doucette and wife, Gail; daughter, Cindi Marley and her husband, David; son, Eric Doucette and his wife, Lisa; 18 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Additionally she has a “favorite niece,” Anita Jackson of Colorado, and a “special nephew,” Fred Becker of Indian Island. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Indian Island.
