BANGOR – Stephen R. Campbell, 66, passed away Sept. 18, 2010. He was born June 6, 1944, in Providence, R.I., son of the late Gordon R. and Vita (Carstensen) Campbell of Sedgwick. Stephen graduated from George Stevens Academy, Blue Hill, in 1962. He then earned a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry in 1966 and a Master of Science degree, also in chemistry, in 1969, from the University of Maine, Orono. Stephen then worked for Hercules Paint Co. in New York. He lived in Bangor since February 1999. Stephen is survived by a sister, Roberta Campbell Townsend of Orono; a brother, Gregory A. Campbell of Jonesport; three nieces, Sara Campbell, Kristy Townsend and Karen Howland; and a nephew, Gordon Campbell. Services will be private.
