BANGOR – Ruth L. (Reaviel) Barr, 93, died Sept. 15, 2010, at a Bangor health care facility. She was born July 4, 1917, in Brewer, daughter of Adelbert and Mabel (Emerson) Reaviel. Ruth was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women, and an active volunteer with the blind and special needs community. She was predeceased by her husband, George H. Barr; and a son, G. Lance Barr. Surviving are a daughter, Marise J. Barr of Bangor; and a grandson, Thomas L. Barr of Bowie, Md. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 11, at Mount Hope Cemetery, Bangor. Relatives and friends are invited to meet 10:45 a.m. Monday at the Superintendent’s Lodge, State Street entrance.
