The spike in enrollment at Maine’s community college system is explained as a reaction to the recession – people out of work are taking the time to improve their education and skills.

How can Maine capitalize on these students, many of whom have never been in a college class-room before? Can they be given incentives to pursue four-year degrees? Can they be matched with an employer looking to relocate to Maine or expand here?
