GUILFORD – Mildred P. Noble, 93, died Sept. 18, 2010, in Winter Haven, Fla., due to heart failure. She was born June 11, 1917, in Saginaw, Mich., daughter of Susanna and Gottlieb Priebe. She married her high school sweetheart, Paul Noble, June 21, 1937. They lived in Mayville, Mich., until 1950 when they moved to Guilford. She was an active member of Guilford United Methodist Church and a longtime member of Zephyrus Club. In 1984 Millie and Paul retired to Carefree Country Club, Winter Haven, Fla. In 2003 Millie moved to Lake Howard Height, an independent living facility. Millie will be remembered by family and friends as an excellent seamstress and fantastic cook. Her children would always fight to see who got the first chocolate chip cookie. Millie was predeceased by her husband, Paul, Oct. 22, 1994; and her daughter, Valerie, Nov. 25, 2000. She is survived by a son and his wife, Jerry and Patricia Noble of Winter Haven, Fla.; a daughter, Trudy Ferden of Clare, Mich.; a daughter and her husband, Julie and Adam Jonas of San Pedro, Calif.; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Services will be held next summer with burial at Elmwood Cemetery, Guilford. Those who wish may make donations in her memory to United Methodist Church Kitchen Fund, P.O.
