BANGOR – Mary Grace (Sheehan) Young, 68, died Oct. 5, 2010, at the home of her daughter, after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Mrs. Young was born in North Easton, Mass., and raised her family in Allston, Mass., and Brighton, Mass., before moving to Bangor. She was the wife of the late John J. Young. Mrs. Young was the sister of Paula Sheehan of Hudson, Mass.; loving mother of Deborah Young of Houlton, Donna Nickerson of Wethersfield, Conn., and Mary Beth Young of Bangor; and grandmother of John Nickerson, Matthew, Justin and Brian Somers, and Nathan and Luke Colburn Young. She is also survived by two aunts, Mary Doros of Florida and Connie Sheehan of Texas; nieces, Rhonda and Andrea Sheehan of Boston; great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. She also leaves her constant companion, her beloved Mr. Cat. Mrs. Young was predeceased by her parents, Paul and Grace (McEleney) Sheehan; two brothers, Phillip and Danny; one sister, Peggy; and twin sons, John and Brian Young. Services will be private.
