HOULTON – Florence B. Hanson, 82, died Oct. 5, 2010, at a local health care facility. She was born April 28, 1928, at Houlton, the daughter of Basil and Gladys (Smith) Boulier. Florence was a lifelong member of Church of the Good Shepherd, Episcopal, where she faithfully served many years on the Alter Guild and Episcopal Council of Women. She was a hard working volunteer for many years at Madigan Estates Nursing Home. Florence is survived by three sons, Robert Hanson and his wife, Nedra, of Houlton, Steven Hanson of Valley Springs, Calif., and David Hanson and his wife, Tania, of Las Vegas; four grandchildren, Jody Wellington and her husband, Robert, of New Limerick, Wade Hanson and his wife, Carol, of Houlton, Heidi Hanson of W.Va., and Luke Hanson of Las Vegas; six great-grandchildren, Ryan, Erin, Emily, Allix, Christina and George; two brothers, Maurice Boulier of Conn., and Larry Boulier and his wife, Tammy, of Hodgdon; two sisters, Doris Barrows of Hodgdon and Judy Hersey and her husband, Walter, of Otis; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert C. Hanson; two sisters, Joyce and Betty and her brother, Cleo. The family expresses their gratitude to the staff at Madigan House and Hospice of Aroostook for their wonderful care and support. Friends may call 11 a.m. until the time of service 1 p.m. Sunday at Dunn Funeral Home with the Rev. Jessie Drysdale officiating. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
