LAS VEGAS – Gordon Rufus Wade Jr., 81, passed away Sept. 1, 2010. He was born in Bangor, the son of Gordon Rufus Wade Sr. and Pearl E. Wade. Gordon retired from the U.S. Marine Corps as a “mustang” captain. He served two tours of duty in Vietnam, where he earned the Bronze Star. He was an active member of Marine Corps League, Marine Corps Riders of Las Vegas and Elks Club. Gordon is survived by his loving wife, Joy; children, Pamela Johnson and husband, Jeffrey, Peter Wade and partner, Bonnie Bostock, Michael Looney, Russell Looney and Holly Nail; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held in Las Vegas. Burial will take place 11 a.m. Dec. 17 at Arlington National Cemetery. Donations may be made in his memory to CancerCare of Maine, P.O.
