NEWPORT and TOPSHAM – Roberta “Bert” Milliken, 82, passed peacefully Oct. 4, 2010. She was born April 30, 1928, in Madison, the daughter of Lewis and Effie Delano. Roberta attended school in Bridgeton. She worked many years in the woolen mill industry and later retired from Edwards, Pittsfield. She enjoyed spending time with family, vacationing and was an avid crafter and bingo player. She was predeceased by her husband, Shirley H. Milliken; a son, Robert St. John; and a grandson, Billy Morse. She is survived by a sister, Dora Kennedy and husband, Kenneth, of East Hartford, Conn.; a brother, Louis Delano and wife, Jean, of East Harford, Conn.; two daughters, Nola St. Louis and husband, Thomas, of Parkman and Linda Smith and husband, Mike, of Brunswick; two sons, Micheal Milliken and wife, Olivia, of Radcliff, Ky., and Dennis Milliken and wife, Jennifer, of Jefferson; a daughter-in-law, Patricia St. John of Bridgeton; 14 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, as well as great-great-grandchildren. She was an incredible lady who will be greatly missed by many. Graveside services will be held at a later date in Norway, Maine.
