CORINTH – Emily M. (Poole) Gonya, 72, wife of the late Martin A. Gonya, died Oct. 11, 2010, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Oct. 5, 1938, in Milo, the daughter of Carl N. and Lottie M. (Badger) Poole. Emily is survived by her 11 children and their spouses, Vicki and Lou Elia of Pennsylvania, Sherman and Julie Gonya of Charleston, Mary and Bryan Hennessy of Pennsylvania, Allen and Pok Son Gonya of New York, Cheri and Grant Cocco of New Hampshire, Martin and Gina Gonya of Massachusetts, Lori Gonya of Massachusetts, Pam and Steve Tardiff of Brewer, Norman Gonya of Auburn, Michael Gonya of Gray and Sherwood and Lillian Gonya of Corinth. A funeral service will be conducted 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 14, at Lary Funeral Home, Milo, with Pastor Kirk Mellen officiating.
