LINCOLN – Stanley Arthur Bowker Sr., 91, passed away Oct. 12, 2010, in Lincoln. He was born March 30, 1919, in Lincoln, son of Arthur and G. Edna Jordan Bowker. Stanley graduated from Mattanawcook Academy in 1937. He was in World War II in the Army Air Corps serving in China, Burma and the India Theater. Stanley worked at the paper mill in Lincoln for 52 years, retiring in 1989 at age 70. He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Evelyn (Neal) Bowker of Lincoln; a son, Stanley A. Bowker Jr. and his wife, Sharon, of Plymouth, Mass.; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Stanley A. Bowker III and his wife, Marie, and their children, Allyson and Justin, all of Sterling, Mass., and Shannon Elliott and Dwayne, and their children, Nicholas, Christopher and Samantha, all of Plymouth, Mass.; and two brothers-in-law, Kenneth Neal and his wife, Florence, of Mattawamkeag, and Dalton Neal and his wife, Carolyn, of Lincoln. He was predeceased by one brother, Halton Bowker; and one sister, Betty McKinnon. Stanley greatly enjoyed his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, especially watching them play sports. He and Evelyn enjoyed many University of Maine hockey games at Alfond Arena.
