BANGOR – Christine A. Goodridge, 55, died Oct. 10, 2010, at a local health care center, after a short and courageous battle with cancer. She was born June 14, 1955, in Bangor, daughter of Arthur O. and Eleanor (Wing) Goodridge. Chris loved her role as an aunt to her niece and nephew, Heather and Lance. She enjoyed doing crafts, reading, family camping trips and swimming. She also enjoyed the family trips to Disney World, Florida and Montana. Chris enjoyed playing her guitar, piano and music. In recent years, she had the desire to complete a degree in business at Husson University. She came very close with only one more semester to complete her courses. Chris graduated from Bangor High School in 1974, where she was a Stetsonette. She also was a candy striper at Eastern Maine Medical Center and was a Girl Scout in her younger days. For many years she worked at Bangor Savings Bank. Chris is survived by her mother, Eleanor W. Goodridge; a sister, Cherrie Stuart and brother-in-law, Phillip J. Stuart; nephew, Lance Stuart; her aunts, Carol Miller and partner, Dale, Sally Jacques and husband, Bob, Pat Goodridge and Evelyn Goodridge; her cousins, Kim Jordan and husband, Jamie, Todd Miller, Ryan Jacques, Nicki Jacques, Debbie Mills and husband, Billy, Richard Goodridge and wife, Sue, Ron Goodridge, Linda Quinlan, Don Goodridge and wife, Linda, Claudia Folsom and husband, Dale, and Pattie Grass and husband, Mike; and many other second cousins. She is also survived by her beloved Sami. Chris was predeceased by her father, Arthur O. Goodridge; a niece, Heather Stuart; also her grandparents, Caston and Christina Wing and Arthur and Myrtie Goodridge. She will be sadly missed by her close friends, Chris Radcliff and Pam Grey and husband, Kenny. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 14, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, with the Rev. Dr. Mark Allen Doty, pastor of Hammond Street Congregational Church, officiating. Interment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center St., Bangor, after the services Thursday.
