PRESQUE ISLE – Cora Mae Tardy, 92, died Oct. 10, 2010, at Windsor Place, Columbus, Miss. She was born Nov. 5, 1917, in Eagle Lake, the daughter of Vincent and Amanda (Daigle) Nadeau. She was employed at Maine Potato Growers, Presque Isle, until her retirement in 1980. Cora is survived by four sons, Leo J. Tardy Jr. “Joe” and his wife, Lorraine, of Anchorage, Alaska, Donald J. Tardy and his wife, Linda, of Columbus, Miss., Philip A. Tardy and his wife, Marit, of Waitsfield, Vt., and George R. Tardy and his wife, Dr. Irma, of Warren, Vt. and Acapulco, N.M.; a sister, Kathleen Clark of Glastonbury, Conn.; three brothers, Camille Nadeau of Sebago and Fort Worth, Fla., Vincent Nadeau of Bathurst, New Brunswick, and Ervin Nadeau of Simsbury, Conn.; 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Louise Hutchinson of New Mexico; a brother-in-law, James Tardy of Denver; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Leo J. Tardy, in 1998; her parents; a sister, Hedwidge (Nadeau) Albert; and three brothers, Edwin, Elmer and Eldon Nadeau. Relatives and friends may call 9 a.m. Monday, Oct. 18, at Parish of the Precious Blood, St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Main Street, Presque Isle, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. with the Rev.
