PERRY – Geraldine “Gerry” M. Pottle, 81, passed away Oct. 12, 2010, at an Eastport nursing facility. She was born Sept. 11, 1929, in Hartford, Conn., a daughter of the late Ansley and Minola (Glidden) Poole. Gerry married Richard Pottle, Feb. 14, 1948, and together they raised three sons. Throughout the years Gerry worked at many jobs, including local fish factories and the local wreath factory, where she was known for her speed performing piece-work. In 1977 Gerry went back to school to be a beautician and worked in her own shop, Gerry’s Family Hair Styles, until her retirement. Gerry had many loves throughout her life, but most of all her love for the Lord. Gerry was predeceased by her husband, Richard, in 1995; and her brother, Charles Poole. She is survived by her three children, Richard “Scotty” Pottle, Vaughn Pottle and Mason Pottle, all of Perry; as well as six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
