OTTER CREEK – Bertha E. Lynk, 82, died Oct. 21, 2010, at Mount Desert Island Hospital. She was born June 5, 1928, in Bar Harbor, the daughter of Monteville and Lydia (Walls) Liscomb. Bertha loved her family. She enjoyed arts and crafts, including pinecone wreaths, and cooking. She also loved her cats. She worked at Mount Desert Island Hospital for several years and afterward she did some work for various summer residents. Bertha is survived by two sons, Maurice Smith and wife, Sharon, of East Holden and Philip Smith and companion, Mary Grace, of Trenton; one daughter, Susan Knudsen and husband, Wilbur, of Milbridge and Florida; stepdaughter, Mary Harkins; stepson, Harold Lynk Jr.; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Harold R. Lynk Sr. Friends are invited to call noon-1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26, at Jordan-Fernald, 48 Eden St., Bar Harbor, where funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev.
