LIMESTONE – Frank L. Baker, 63, of Huggard Avenue, died Oct. 19, 2010, at the Veterans Administration Center at Togus, after an extended illness. He was born April 7, 1947, in Pensacola, Fla., the son of Philip Baker and Constance (Bouchard) Baker. Mr. Baker served honorably in the U.S. Air Force from 1973 until 1988. He was employed as an accountant by the Defense Finance and Accounting Service for several years. He was also employed as a meteorologist by the Air Force and by NOAA. Mr. Baker was a member of Disabled American Veterans. Surviving are three daughters, Heather Parker and her husband, Chris, of Lisbon, Heidi St. Peter and her husband, Scott, of Limestone and Meagan Baker of Presque Isle; one son, Jason Baker of Lisbon; three brothers, Roland Baker and his wife, Colleen, of Sanford, Philip Baker and his wife, Nina, of Amesbury, Mass., and Jeffrey Baker and his wife, Phyllis, of Presque Isle; one sister, Constance Disy of Caribou; five grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. There will be no public visiting hours. A memorial service will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 29, at Plummer Funeral Home, 16 Pleasant St., Augusta. Committal with military honors will be afterward in the chapel at Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Mount Vernon Road, Augusta.
