BREWER and BANGOR – Albeo M. St. Peter, 88, husband of Gertrude (DesJardin) St. Peter, died Oct. 22, 2010, at Maine Veterans Home, Bangor. He was born Sept. 26, 1922, in Caribou, son of Paul and Mary (Violette) St. Peter. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Albeo was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church. He was employed for 20 years with First National Stores, and then owned and operated Mount Hope Variety, Bangor, for eight years with his wife. In addition to his wife, Albeo is survived by five children, Wayne St. Peter and his wife, Mona, of Kenduskeag, Donna and her husband, Michael McLaughlin, of Brewer, Eric St. Peter and his wife, Joan, of Bar Harbor, Dale St. Peter of Orono and David St. Peter and his wife, Patricia, of Glenburn; 15 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; his brother, Alphy St. Peter of Caribou; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two sons, Larry and Lloyd; and his sister, Estelle Martin. Friends may call 5-7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 25, at Brookings-Smith, Clark-Piper Chapel, 55 South Main St., Brewer. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26, at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. John’s Catholic Church, Bangor. Interment will be afterward at Mount Pleasant Catholic Cemetery, Bangor. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the Brookings-Smith Family Rooms, 55 South Main St., Brewer, immediately after the interment.
