BANGOR – Laurice “Larry” Goodwin was larger than life to all who knew him. Only his wife of 60 years, Joyce, was his match. He was a hero to his daughters, Debby, Kathy and Laurie, as he was to his grandchildren, Troy, Clint, Cassandra, Justin, Brendon, Jaysin and Warren; great-grandchildren, Desirae, Donte, Tiana, Destiny, Baily and Meagan; and son-in-law, Sam. He personified Goodwin characteristics as brother, Donn; and sisters, Phyllis, Winnie, Gretchen and Rhoda will attest. Friends and relatives alike will carry fond memories of this very special man, and we will all miss him dearly. When asked what he wanted his obituary to say he responded in typical Larry fashion, “He died.” He said those who knew him didn’t need to be told about his life and those who didn’t know him wouldn’t care. At Larry’s request, there will be no formal services. Larry did, however, enjoy good food and a good story, so after a private burial at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Hermon, bring your favorite Larry story and join us for food and drinks 1-3 p.m. Oct. 30 at Coach House Restaurant.
