MILBRIDGE – Eleanor Chipman, 84, died Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2010, at an Ellsworth hospital. She was born Nov. 9, 1925, daughter of the late Benjamin and Iva (Grant) Dorr. Eleanor attended local schools and worked locally at several different businesses. She married Willis H. Chipman, Oct. 2, 1946. She enjoyed playing Beano and loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Willis H. Chipman, in 1992; three brothers and six sisters; and her great-granddaughter, Morgan Parritt. She is survived by son, Billy Chipman and his wife, Sheila, of Steuben; a daughter, Bonnie Haycock and her husband, Robert, of Milbridge; two sisters, Barbara Pinkham and husband, Gene, of Ellsworth and Leona Feeney of Columbia; two grandchildren, Billie Jo Pung and her husband, Greg, of Franklin and Jennnifer Coates and her husband, Dan, of Steuben; and three great-grandchildren, Justin and Hayley Brenton of Franklin and Ashley Parritt of Steuben. A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 29, at Evergreen Cemetery, Milbridge, with Owen Beal officiating.
