FORT KENT – Izy (Theriault) Thibodeau, 95, died peacefully Nov. 3, 2010, at a Fort Kent health care facility. She was born April 20, 1915, in Fort Kent, daughter of Denis and Josephine (Voisine) Theriault. Izy was the oldest person in St. Francis. She was a talented craft person, enjoyed quilting, knitting, and time spent in her garden. She passed down much of her handy work to her family. She volunteered her time for many church dinners, including meals after funerals. She is survived by seven children, Gerard “Bee” of St. Francis, Adrienne Lamore of Fort Kent, Larry and his wife, Jackie, of Northfield, Mass., Fern and his wife, Gert, of Fort Kent, Lloyd and his partner, Mona, of Caribou, Robert and his wife, Lorraine, of Soldier Pond, and Mavis Voisine of Fort Kent; 17 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mamie Theriault of Fort Kent and Sadie Levesque of Frenchville; many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Adrian Thibodeau, in 1993; one son, Ronald, in 2006; a great-granddaughter, Meagan, in 1993; a great-grandson, Phillip, in 2009; five sisters, Mandy Charette, Evelyn Theriault, Delia Pelletier, Theresa Lavoie and Laura Conley; and one brother, Yvon Theriault. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. until time of departure for St. Francis Friday at Daigle Funeral Home, Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday at St. Charles Catholic Church, St. Francis. Committal services will be afterward at the parish cemetery.
