BRIDGEWATER – Wayne Elmer Scott, 69, passed away on the morning of Nov. 3, 2010, at The Aroostook Medical Center. He was born Aug. 31, 1941. Wayne was a man of few words, he kept his thoughts to himself, but his eyes told you a story of a man who was always thinking. Daily he drove eight or 10 miles through the rain, sun or snow to keep an appointment with a birch tree, or an old acquaintance among the pines down by the moose hole. His love of nature showed in his talent of woodworking. He is survived by his loving wife, Theresa (Terrell) Scott; his children and their spouses: daughter, Lorie and Bob Hoffses, son, Troy and Carmen Scott, daughter, Cathy and Paul Miller, son, Clark and Lisa Scott, and son, Shawn and Michelle Scott; his brother, Gary and sister-in-law, Debbie Scott, of Grass Valley, Calif.; his sister, Linda McCormack of Buxton; 10 grandchildren, Steven and Shane Miller, Courtney and Robbie Hoffses, Dylan, Tanner, Dakota, Denver, Colby and Carson Scott; mother-in-law, Pearl Terrell; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Stephen and Linda (Terrell) Stiles, and family; and special friends, Razzle, Squiggy, Johnny, Ally and Marty. The family extends a special thank you to TAMC’s oncology department, emergency room, acute care and intensive care unit; and Med Surge staff for the kindness, support and services in our time of need. Graveside services for the family will be held Saturday, Nov. 6, at Taply Cemetery, Blaine, with Pastor Lawrence Beals. We will hold you close within our hearts and there you will remain, to walk with us throughout our lives, until we meet again. Although it’s difficult today to see beyond the sorrow, may looking back in your memory help comfort us tomorrow.
