NEW CANADA – Bertram “Bob” Bouchard, 79, died unexpectedly Nov. 4, 2010, at a Fort Kent health care facility. He was born Aug. 8, 1931, in New Canada, the son of Henry and Catherine (Michaud) Bouchard. He served in the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1957. Bob had a passion for farming, which he did in New Canada all of his adult life. He is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Lola (Lamore) Bouchard of New Canada; two sons, Graig Bouchard of New Canada and Chad and his wife, Cindy, of Caribou; one daughter, Heide and her husband, Tim Ouellette, of New Canada; three grandchildren, Samuel Ouellette, Abraham and Benjamin Bouchard; two brothers, Bernard and his wife, Phronie Bouchard, of Cross Lake and Leon and his wife, Aline Bouchard, of Sebring, Fla.; three sisters, Theresa Young of Sebring, Fla., Phyllis Brimecombe of West Simsbury, Conn., and Sarah and her husband, Daniel Corrow, of New Port Richie, Fla.; several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, Bob was predeceased by four brothers, Fred, Gilman, George and Phillip; and two sisters, Jacqueline Bouchard and Rita Bird. In keeping with his wishes, there will be private services for the family.
