EAGLE LAKE – Marie Ange (Bernier) Saucier, 92, died peacefully Nov. 12, 2010, at her residence. She was born Sept. 16, 1918, in Wallagrass, the daughter of Octave and Delina (Michaud) Bernier. Marie Ange was a member of Ladies of St. Anne and American Legion Auxiliary, both of Eagle Lake. She enjoyed knitting cloths for her family – keeping them warm during the winter months. She also enjoyed going out to eat at restaurants. She will be remembered for her great cooking; Marie Ange cooked at the nursing home and hospital in Eagle Lake for more than 40 years. Marie Ange is survived by her children, Maxime Saucier Jr. of Eagle Lake, Gilman Saucier and companion, Lorriane, of Cadyville, N.Y., Geraldine Labbe and Thomas of Eagle Lake, Gerald Saucier and companion, Christine, of Walcott, Conn., Beatrice Boyce and Eldon of Bridgton, Elizabeth Scott and David of Bristol, Conn., Diane Currie and Jeff of Scarborough and Paul Saucier of Eagle Lake; brothers and sisters, Exilia Cyr of Cape Coral, Fla., Delvina Bouchard of Fort Kent, Melvina Jalbert of Bristol, Conn., Gloria Cassidy of Avril, Mass. Wallace Bernier of Ocala, Fla., and Zelda Madore of Eagle Lake; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, Maxime Saucier Sr.; one daughter, Nancy, in 1944; one son, Roland, in 1997; three brothers, Aurele Bernier, Soloman Bernier and Rosaire Bernier; and two sisters, Odile Dube and Laudia Cyr. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Monday and 9 a.m. until the time of departure for Eagle Lake Tuesday at Daigle Funeral Home, Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Eagle Lake. Committal services will be afterward at the parish cemetery.
