CARIBOU – Beatrice Thompson Maynard, 75, died Nov. 17, 2010, in Caribou. She was born Aug. 25, 1935, in Wallagrass, daughter of the late Lawrence and Cecile (Labbe) Paradis. Bea was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, whose family always came first. She loved to play bingo and visit with her family and friends. Mrs. Maynard was a member of Henry B. Pratt Post 15 American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She is survived by her five children, Michael Thompson and his wife, Rita, of Caribou, Rick Thompson and his wife, Cathy, of Fort Fairfield, Debbie Belanger and her husband, Stephen, of Cross Lake, Todd Maynard and his wife, Mary, of Fort Fairfield, and Troy Maynard of Caribou; two brothers, Lawrence Paradis of Hartford, Conn., and Percy Paradis of East Hartford, Conn.; two sisters, Patricia Miller of Dallas and Sheila Ellis of Greenville, Texas; 10 grandchildren, Bobbie Scott, Jason Thompson, Jason Russell, Brittany, Brandon and Jared Thompson, Jesse Belanger and fiancee, Heidi Ayotte, Joshua Belanger and his wife, Jessica, and Teresa and Justin Maynard; and nine great-grandchildren, Alex and Austin Scott, Alivia, Jaden, Alivian and Keirah-Lynn Thompson, Faith Belanger, Landyn Cote and Benson Belanger. She was predeceased by her first husband, Robert Thompson; her second husband, Darrell Maynard; and a brother, Roger. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou, where a prayer service will be conducted 6:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 22, at Parish of the Precious Blood, Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
