MILBRIDGE – Harvey G. Beal, 71, died Nov. 18, 2010, at his residence. He was born June 6, 1939, in Milbridge, son of Ernest and Coris (West) Beal. Harvey enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren play all their sports, and was a diehard Chicago Cubs fan. He dedicated his life to lobster fishing. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Beverly (Leighton) Beal of Milbridge; two sons, Eric Beal and his wife, Kim, of Milbridge, and Aaron Beal of Milbridge; seven grandchildren, Joshua, Jenna, Katrina, Karissa, Chelsea and Cooper Beal, and Nakia Albee; two great-grandchildren, Aaliyah Manning and Jason Aaron Tracy; and two sisters-in-law, Gwendolyn Grant, and Greta Choquet and her husband, Roger. He was also survived by several nieces and nephews; and a special stern man, Dale Woodward. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one brother, Ernest Beal Jr.; five sisters, Marian Turner, Virgie Rumery, Hilda Parritt, Florence Chipman and Eleanor Miller; and a brother-in-law, Harold Keith Leighton. The family thanks Dr. Carl Aselton and his staff; and Community Health and Counseling Services for all the loving care. A service of remembrance will be celebrated 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 24, at Bragdon-Kelley Funeral Home, Main Street, Milbridge.
