LINCOLN – Christine F. Tibbetts, 87, wife of the late Clyde E. Tibbetts, passed away Nov. 17, 2010, at a Lincoln health care facility. She was born May 1, 1923, in Lincoln, daughter of Floy G. (Crocker) and Robert S. Johnson Sr. Christine was a long-standing member of Lincoln United Methodist Church where she loved to sing in the choir. She liked to go camping at Knowlton’s with all the rest of Lincoln, and enjoyed “leaf peeping” with long rides throughout the countryside. She worked as a dietary aide at Penobscot Valley Hospital for nearly 10 years. She is survived by a son, Clyde M. Tibbetts of Enfield; three daughters, Patricia Ann Ketch of Passadumkeag, Rhonda Lee Stratton of Howland and Laurie Kay Stubbs of Lincoln; two brothers, Robert S. Johnson Jr. of Lincoln and Bertrand Johnson of Connecticut; a sister-in-law, Viola Paradis of Lee; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, several great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln, where funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. Alan Porter officiating.
