MARIETTA, Ga. – Constance “Connie” G. Gould, 92, passed away Nov. 17, 2010. She was born Feb. 8, 1918, in Brooklyn, N.Y. Connie lived in Pittsfield for 60 years and then moved to Zephyrhills, Fla., where she lived for 22 years before moving to Marietta, Ga. Her greatest joy was being with her family and friends, and she lived a very active life until the end. She enjoyed playing and watching golf, and her favorite baseball team was the Boston Red Sox. Her hobbies included knitting sweaters for her children, grandchildren and friends, and baking her famous pies. Connie graduated from Maine Central Institute in 1936 and also attended American Art School, New York City. She retired from Edwards Co., a division of General Signal Corp., in 1985. She was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Laurice “Loggie” Gould. Connie is survived by her two sons, Jim Gould and his wife, Page Talbott, of Bala Cynwyd, Pa., and John Gould and his wife, Linda, of Marietta, Ga.; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, in the chapel of SouthCare Cremation Society and Memorial Centers, Marietta, Ga., with a reception afterward.
