NEWPORT and HILTON HEAD, S.C. – Paul S. McCue, 63, died Nov. 17, 2010, at a Bangor hospital, after a brief illness. He was born Sept. 20, 1947, in Newton, Mass., a son of Paul J. and Marion (Stewart) McCue. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and was awarded two Bronze Stars. He retired as an engineer with MCI Worldcom in Texas. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and landscaping. He will be remembered for his beautiful landscaped waterfalls. Paul is survived by his wife, Janice of Newport; a son, David and wife, Kathy Walker, of South Carolina; a daughter, Sharlene Nyman of Texas; three brothers, Timothy and wife, Donna McCue, of Framingham, Mass., Gary McCue of Newport and Mark “Marty” and wife, Kimberly McCue, of Newport; a sister, MaryEllen McCue of Newport; three granddaughters, Ashley McCue, Lacey and Kaitlynn Nyman; two grandsons, David Walker Jr. and Andrew Walker; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; and a brother, Robert McCue. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 21, at Crosby & Neal, 117 Main St., Newport, with Pastor Al H. Worden officiating. Friends may call noon until the time of services. A military committal and burial service will be held at a later date.
