SEAL COVE – Lewis Carr Lawton, 92, died Nov. 23, 2010, in Seal Cove. He was born Aug. 11, 1918, in Pennsylvania, the son of Lewis Carr and Elva (Niles) Lawton. After high school Lewis attended college and then went into the Army Air Force. After his discharge he married Inez, and they lived in Saugus, Mass., where they raised three children. Lewis worked at Alliance Appliance, Boston, until his retirement, and then he moved to Maine. He is survived by his son, James Lewis Lawton and wife, Cindy, of Saugus, Mass.; his daughter, Janet G. Picariello and husband, Charles, of Swampscott, Mass.; and grandchildren, Carrie Picariello, Jamie Siegrit and husband, Jay, William and Stephen Lawton. Lewis was predeceased by a son, John E. Lawton. A service of remembrance will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 30, at Head of the Harbor Church, Bass Harbor, with the Rev. Dr. Wayne Buchanan officiating.
