BRUNSWICK – Jacqueline B. O’Roak, 80, formerly of Sherman, died Friday, Nov. 26, 2010, with her loving family by her side at her residence. She was born April 21, 1930, in Sherman Station, a daughter of Thomas and Laura Mclellan. Jacqueline graduated from Sherman High School. On June 24, 1949, she married Dean O’Roak in Sherman and made their home there. Mrs. O’Roak worked for 23 years as a beautician at her salon. She then attended the University of Maine, Orono, earning a degree in special education. She taught at Patten Grammar School and Medway Middle School, retiring in 1992. She enjoyed many family gatherings, and loved cooking, gardening and yard sales. She was predeceased by her parents of Sherman Station; and a brother, Thomas Mclellan Jr. of Sherman. Surviving are her beloved husband of 61 years, Dean O’Roak of Brunswick; two daughters, Ellen O’Roak of Pownal and Debbie Osgood and her husband, Dan, of Freeport; and two much-loved grandchildren, Michael and Joel Osgood of Maine. She will be also missed by many nieces and nephews. Private family services will be held. Burial will be at Sherman Cemetery.
