DALLAS and CARIBOU – Murchie Harvey Cyr, 69, passed Nov. 27, 2010, in Dallas. He was born April 6, 1941, in Caribou, to Leo J. and Irene (Martin) Cyr. He was a 1959 graduate of Caribou High School. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in commercial art in Portland. His life’s work was as an artist and the director of Houshang’s Art & Frame Gallery, Dallas. He enjoyed helping everyone in need and made many friends for his service and compassion. He was predeceased by a brother, Elbridge “Al” Cyr. He is survived by one brother, Bernard Cyr and his wife, Linda, of Limestone; sister, Nadine Strelka and her husband, Richard, of Caribou; several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 5 p.m. Dec. 5 at Dickinson Place, 911 St. Joseph St., Dallas.
