VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – Annabelle Crandlemere Flanders, 81, wife of the late Charles Wade Flanders, died Saturday, Dec. 4, 2010, at a nursing facility in Virginia Beach, Va. She was born Sept. 19, 1929, in New Limerick, the daughter of Harry and Mary Ann (Donahue) Crandlemere. Mrs. Flanders worked as an office manager in Hartford, Conn., and a real estate agent in Virginia Beach, Va. She is survived by a son-in-law, Mark F. Holland of Staunton, Va.; a brother-in-law, Hugh Flanders and wife, Theresa, of Bucksport and Port Charlotte, Fla.; several nieces and nephews; as well as a close friend, who was like a sister, Margaret L. Donn and husband, Paul, of Virginia Beach, Va. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband; one daughter, Lois Ann (Flanders) Holland; and five sisters, Madeline Crandlemere, Vetinna Rose Crandlemere, Pearl Riordon, Marion Henderson and Ellen King. Graveside services will be held in the spring at Riverview Cemetery, Bucksport. Arrangements are under the direction of Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home, 28 Elm St., Bucksport.
