BRIDGEWATER – Gary “Phil” L. Bradstreet, 54, passed away unexpectedly Dec. 10, 2010, at home. Phil was born Oct. 28, 1956, in Mars Hill. Phil attended schools in Bridgewater and Mars Hill. He had many special friends and enjoyed teasing and joking with them, including one his favorite targets, Helen Thorne. He never met a stranger. His open heart and loving personality granted him many friends during the years and he will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Phil leaves behind his wife of 21 years, Heidi (Pryor) Bradstreet; and son, Reid. He also is survived by his parents, Douglas and Erma Bradstreet of Bridgewater; five brothers, Steven and wife, Trudy, Robert and wife, Julie, Terry and wife, Gloria, Troy and wife, Nina, all of Bridgewater, and Edward Bradstreet and partner, Randy, of Florida; and two sisters, Janet Bradstreet of Florida and Barbara and husband, Bob Carvell, of Presque Isle. He will also be missed by 19 nieces and nephews, as well as several great-nieces and great-nephews, and countless friends. Phil also leaves behind an extended family of in-laws, Dale and Blanche Pryor of E Plantation and Brenda and Robert McLean of Houlton; and one brother-in-law, Joe Pryor and his wife, Amyee, of Bridgewater. Phil was predeceased by his brother, Ronnie. Visiting hours will held 12:30 p.m. until the time of services 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 15, at Lake Road Free Will Baptist Church, Monticello. Box 280, Bridgewater, ME 04735 or a donation may be made to a fund that will be set up for his son’s future plans at any Savings Bank of Maine branch with a memo for Reid Bradstreet.
