FORT KENT – Richard “Dick” Michaud, 62, died unexpectedly Dec. 12, 2010, at a Fort Kent health care facility. He was born April 14, 1948, at Eagle Lake, son of Renaud and Murielle “Pelletier” Michaud. Dick worked for Fraser Paper, Inc., for 40 years, until his retirement Sept. 28, 2006. He enjoyed four-wheeling, gardening and his pets. His favorite pastime was woodworking. Dick is survived by his beloved wife of 411/2 years, Joan (Deprey) Michaud of Fort Kent; his son, Jonathan and his companion, Rebecca, both of Fort Kent; two daughters, Destiny McBeigh of Texas and Serena Michaud of Montana; brothers and sisters, Theresa and her husband, Richard Corriveau, of New Hampshire, Jean Paul Michaud of Madawaska, Lorraine Thibodeau of Caribou, James and his wife, Lillian Michaud, of Massachusetts, Bernard Michaud of New Hampshire. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his niece, Carrie Dechaine; one sister, Rita Campbell; and one brother, Philip Michaud. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday at Daigle Funeral Home, Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent. Spring burial will be held Tuesday, May 17, 2011, at the parish cemetery.
