PARKMAN – David S. Thurlow, 79, died Dec. 15, 2010, surrounded by his family at his home. He was born April 24, 1931, in Guilford, son of David S. and Eva (Harrington) Thurlow Sr. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, and spent two years in Korea. After the service, David worked for Robert McKusick on the farm for 21 years. Later he worked for Hardwood Products Co., Guilford, for 22 years, retiring as a supervisor in 1996. He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Davis) Thurlow of Parkman; two sons, David Thurlow and his wife, Eva, of Unity and Robert Thurlow and his companion, Pat Lary, of Atkinson; four daughters, Arlene Mars and her husband, Ron, of Parkman, Patsy Mesaric and her husband, Mark, of Unity, Bonnie Dickinson and her husband, Fred, of Florida and Rose Perkins and her husband, Shane, of Abbot; a sister, Louise Hall and her husband, Fred, of Abbot; 15 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 17, at Parkman Baptist Church. Spring burial will be at Pingree Center Cemetery, Parkman. Arrangements by Crosby & Neal, Guilford.
