BREWER – Herman W. Surprenant, 59, beloved husband of Susan Surprenant, died Dec. 11, 2010, at a Bangor hospital. He was born Aug. 31, 1951, in Attleboro, Mass., the son of Paul and Shirley (Mendler) Surprenant. Herman is survived by his loving wife of 16 years; his mother of New Sweden; his stepdaughter, Amy and husband, Noah Dionne, of Bowdoinham; a brother, Paul Surprenant Jr. of Vermont; two sisters, Lynn Hibshman and husband, Nathan, of California and Judy Deslauriers and husband, Mark, of Massachusetts; and four nieces. He was predeceased by his father. Services will be private for the family. A service of Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor.
