RICHMOND – Sandra Mary (Pinkham) Green passed away peacefully Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2010, at Maine Medical Center. Sandra was born Jan. 21, 1945, in Dover-Foxcroft, the daughter of Idona (Gray) Pinkham and Joseph Pinkham. Sandy was a stay-at-home mother while her three sons were young. As they got older, she worked at Don’s Electric furniture store, Springvale, and later at Clarostat, Richmond. She found her true calling, however, when she started working at Community Health and Nursing Services, Brunswick, in 1989. Sandy was the receptionist and did an incredible job helping the people who called in there. Sandy had a unique way of connecting with the clients that needed help, as well as her co-workers that took care of the clients. She will be truly missed by her huge family at Community Health and Nursing Services. Sandy was quite active in raising her beautiful golden retrievers. Throughout the years she loved Heidi, Cassie, Jody, Justy, Sage and Willow. Sandy will be remembered for her easygoing attitude and how she was able to connect with so many people. She filled so many roles for so many people. For some, she was a mother, grandmother, aunt or sister; for some people she may not have been any of these things, but she felt like it to them. She was a friend to all who knew her. Sandy was also quite the practical joker and loved to see people laugh and smile. Sandy was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Idona (Gray) Pinkham; a sister, Carol Ann Pinkham; and a brother, Raymond Pinkham. Survivors include her three sons, Randy Cearbaugh, David Green, and Derek Green and his partner, Rick Blanchette; and grandchildren, all of whom she loved dearly, Bill Cearbaugh, Ben Cearbaugh and his wife, Amber, Chris Cearbaugh and his wife, Michelle, Matt Anderson, Jessica Green and Ashley Green. Her three great-grandchildren, Bennie, Ameliah and Addy, were the youngest generation to share her love. Her surviving siblings are brothers, Judson “Sonny” Stitham and his companion, Ellen, and Joseph “Skip” Pinkham; and sisters, Marlene Erickson and her husband, Bob, and Glenda Heckbert. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. In addition to her family, she is survived by her many friends, including a couple of her special friends, Elizabeth Cray and Melody Burnham. Visiting hours are 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 21, at Brackett Funeral Home, 29 Federal St., Brunswick, where a service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 22. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to American Heart Association or American Cancer Society.
