ORONO – Vera I. Lowell, 72, died unexpectedly Dec. 14, 2010. She was born Jan. 28, 1938, in Washburn, daughter of the late Thomas Boyce and Bernice (Butterfield) Boyce. She is survived by Alfred Stocker, the father of her two loving children: Kathy Stocker of Bangor, and Raymond Stocker and his wife, Dawnett, of Milford; three granddaughters, Carrie Roach and her husband, Jeffrey, Jenny Jellison, and Kristi Ireland and her husband, Kenny Ireland; 10 great-grandchildren, who were her pride and joy; her Vermont family, who she loved dearly; and her many friends at Marsh Island, Old Town. Per her wishes, there will be no services. Those who wish may make donations in her name to a charity of choice.
