CROSS LAKE – Reynold Martin, 75, died peacefully Dec. 24, 2010, at a Bangor health care facility. He was born March 23, 1935, in Fort Kent, the son of Claude and Ida (Dube) Martin. Reynold worked for U.S. Customs for 25 years. He was a member of National Active and Retired Federal Employees. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed hunting, fishing and snowmobiling, and especially time with his family. He will be dearly missed. Reynold is survived by his four children, Susan Martin of Fort Kent, Patrick and his wife, Dawn, of Baldwinsville, N.Y., Greg and his wife, Sue, of Fort Kent and Carol Martin of Alpine, Calif.; daughter-in-law, Margo Martin of Chula Vista, Calif.; 12 grandchildren, Charles, Dawn, Jeremy, Shawn, Zack, Jarid, Danielle, Melissa, Kristi, Michelle, Brad and Nick; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Sandra and her husband, Dick Pelletier, of Fayetteville, Pa., and Claudette Martin of Madawaska Lake; several nieces, nephews, bothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Reynold was predeceased by his wife, Jacqueline (Albert) Martin, in 2009; and one son, Marc Martin, in 2010. Friends may call 10:30 a.m. Thursday until the time of service at Daigle Funeral Home, Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent. Committal services will be held in May 2011 at the parish cemetery.
