BANGOR – Marcia Hubbard Whittier, 78, passed away Dec. 27, 2010, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Oct. 22, 1932, in Bangor, daughter of Levens H. and Ethel (Chipman) Whittier. Marcia was educated in Bangor schools and graduated from Bangor High School, Class of 1952. She worked all her working years at J.J. Newberry’s and Woolco. Marcia enjoyed watching the Red Sox and New England Patriots on TV, and her cat, Tommy. Marcia is survived by one sister, Mary Freeman of Bangor; one brother, Robert Whittier Sr. and his wife, Phyllis, of Dover-Foxcroft; a special friend and helper, Virginia Bennoch; many cousins, nieces and nephews. Private interment will be in the family lot at Mount Hope Cemetery, Bangor. A service of Brookings-Smith, Bangor.
