LEESBURG, Fla. – Maynard Earl Furge Sr., 63, died Dec. 16, 2010. He was born Jan. 10, 1947, in Bangor, son of Ruth and Granville Furge. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and United Methodist Church, Belfast. He is survived by his wife, Mary Green; a son, Maynard E. Furge Jr. and his wife, Tina; a daughter, Nicole Lyons and four grandchildren, all of Florida; and a stepson, David Brewer of Maine. Also surviving him are two sisters, Phyllis Wilson of Pennsylvania and Lorrie Davis of Maine and Florida; two brothers, Galen Furge and Willie Furge of Maine; several nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service was held Dec. 27 at Beyers Funeral Home Chapel.
