ANSON – Gilman W. Page Jr., 73, died peacefully Monday, Dec. 27, 2010, at Brentwood Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Yarmouth. “Bill,” as he is known by his family and longtime friends, was predeceased by parents, Gilman W. Page Sr. and Winifred “Winny” Page; his wife, Audrey Daigle; and his oldest son, Gilman W. Page III. He is survived by the following siblings, Allan and Sally Page, Judy Snow, Barbara and Joe O’Connor, Steve Page and Dave and Theresa Page; sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Susan Page, Andrew Page and Kathy Travis, Tony Page and his fiancee, Cindi Natoli, Tim Page and Constance Francouer, and Judy Page; grandchildren, Gilman Page, Benjamin Page, Andrea Page, Jessica Page, Jared Page and Sarah Page; nieces, Nikki Beary, Heather Clark, Crystal Page, Chandra Reed, Joy Nadeau and Crystal Parritt; and great-grandchildren, Nora Page, Landyn Violette and Rhianna Page. Gil was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and NASCAR. He took his passion with him when he moved from Madawaska to Anson to be with his wife, Audrey Daigle, and her family. In Anson, he gained a second family which includes Paul and Cheryl Daigle, Pete and Garna Daigle, Patrick Daigle and Vicky Washburn, Pam Dickey, Priscilla Daigle and Prescott “Rocky” Daigle. Gil’s accomplishments included being president of Atlantic Salmon Association of Upper St. John River. The association’s goal was to reintroduce Atlantic salmon to Upper St. John River, a goal of which Gil was able to see the successful completion of as president. He participated in and helped organize different organizations such as Keystone Cops and Black Bear Rod & Gun Club. In honor of Gil, a celebration of life will occur 2-6 p.m. Jan. 8, 2011, at American Legion, Madison. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to Brentwood Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, care of activities department, 370 Portland St., Yarmouth, ME 04096.
