She was especially proud of having achieved the rank of KOPS. She was a pastry cook and chef at Atlantis Hotel, Kennebunk, and a Bowdoin College fraternity. She had many interests and occupations including being a hairdresser, nurse’s aide, 4-H club leader, teaching cake decorating and ceramics. She loved oil painting, quilting, crafts and was an avid reader. She is survived by her children, Terry and Judy Pangburn of Holden, Sandra and Robert Henderson of Littleton, Stephen and Sharon Pangburn of Ludlow, Roger and Pat Pangburn of California, Mary Jane and Harold Targuay of Washington, Dana and Donna Pangburn of Georgia, Linda and Charles Pence of California and Craig Pangburn of Ludlow; and grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Clarence Pangburn Sr.; a son, Clarence Pangburn Jr.; four sisters, Margaret Sharples, Adelaide Eddy, Molly Groneng and Phyllis Kinne; and four brothers, Harry, George, Donald and Eugene Parks. Special thanks for the unfailing kindness and professionalism the staff of Madigan Estates showed to Helen. Graveside services will be announced in the spring.
