BANGOR – June E. (Ebbeson) Hunt Bailey, 97, died Jan. 2, 2011, at a Bangor nursing center. She was born July 22, 1913, in Bangor, daughter of Arvid L. and Johanna Constance (Swanson) Ebbeson. June graduated from Bangor High School in 1931 and was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church, Bangor. She married Lyman Austin Hunt, in 1938. After his death in 1984, she married Clifford E. Bailey. Surviving are three sons, William H. Hunt of Dublin, Ireland, Jonathan B. Hunt and Joseph R. Hunt, both of Bangor; one daughter, Johanna C. Hunt of Lake Worth, Fla.; three granddaughters, Catherine, Emily and Carin; five great-grandchildren; three stepchildren, Ann, Jane and Douglas; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her first husband, she was predeceased by her second husband; a son, Lyman A. Hunt Jr., in 1968; brothers, Arvid L. Ebbeson Jr., Richard A. Ebbeson, Eric N. Ebbeson and Robert A. Ebbeson; and sisters, Ann E. Becker, Olga E. Lowry, Gertrude E. Ebbeson, Agnes E. Knowles, Greta J. Ebbeson and Helma E. Blake. Family and friends may visit 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 6, at Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 299 Union St., Bangor, where a memorial service honoring June’s life will begin 1 p.m. with the Rev. Canon Mary Ann Taylor, pastoral associate of St. John’s Episcopal Church, Bangor, presiding. Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery, Bangor.
