EDDINGTON – Robert A. McKay, 76, died Jan. 6, 2011, at his home. He was born Jan. 4, 1935, in Houlton, son of Allen “Mickey” and Dorothy (London) McKay. Robert graduated from Houlton High School in 1953, and he married Mary Hogan, in 1956. He was a truck driver for many years and he drove for Tingley Bread Co., Aroostook County, O’Donnell’s Express and Sanborn Express; and was owner/ operator with H.O. Bouchard Inc. Bob and Mary enjoyed traveling in their motor home. Robert is survived by his wife, Mary (Hogan) McKay; a daughter, Sandra Benton and John of Dedham; a son, Wayne McKay and Sharon of Glenburn; four grandchildren, Mark, Katie, Rob and Patrick; four great-grandchildren, Kayla, Elise, Zachary and Abigail; two brothers, Rodney and Peter McKay; and one sister, Glenna Scharon. He was predeceased by his parents; and two brothers, David and Sonny. At Robert’s request, there will be no calling hours or funeral.
