LIMESTONE – Arthur T. Powers, 71, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2011, at home. Arthur was born Dec. 10, 1939, in Limestone, the son of Stella (Barnes) and Richard Powers Sr. He was a proud member of the Masonic lodge and Anah Shriners. Arthur is survived by his daughter, Bonnie Stopa-Hill and her husband, Alan Hill, of Sanford; his son, Thomas Powers and his partner, Sue Graves, of Glenburn; his four brothers, Richard and his wife, Kathy Powers, of Eure, N.C., Francis and his wife, Ann Powers, of Bristol, Conn., Fred Powers of Winston-Salem, N.C., and Albert and Lorraine Powers of Limestone; six grandchildren, one great-grandson, several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Arthur was predeceased by his wife, Diane (Clark) Powers; and his daughter, Beverly Burbe. A memorial service will be announced in the summer and will be held at Lancaster Morgan Funeral Home, 11 Clover St., Caribou.
