BLUE HILL – Beverly Louise Mabee, 76, died Jan. 5, 2011, at Maine Coast Memorial Hospital, after a long illness. She was born Dec. 5, 1934, on Cape Rosier, daughter of Girard V. and Elizabeth (Black) Condon. She attended school in Massachusetts and graduated from Randolph High School, Class of 1952. She lived in Acton, Mass., and Safety Harbor, Fla., and worked as a secretary in a retirement center. Upon retirement Beverly moved to Harborview Apartments, Blue Hill, where she participated in starting a ladies social group, which brought people together each week. She was a member of Brooksville United Methodist Church and sang in the choir. She is survived by sisters, Darleen Carlson of Braintree, Mass., and Emilie Bergen of Middleboro, Mass.; nephews, Patrick Bergen and wife, Robin, of Middleboro, Mass., John Bergen and wife, Jen, of Raynham, Mass., and Jeffrey Carlson and wife, Heather, of Braintree, Mass.; niece, Dawn Knowles and husband, Kevin, of Granby, Conn.; 14 great-nephews and great-nieces; many cousins. She was predeceased by her parents; and nephew, Richard Carlson. A memorial service will be held in the spring.
